Destination Wedding in Aruba sounds like an amazing plan. Aruba is called One Happy Island because When you touch Aruba it touches you back. It returns the love with warmth and kindness, natural treasures and surprises. I visited Aruba for the first time at the beginning of 2018. I wanted to skip the Toronto winter for a little bit and found really cheap tickets to Aruba. Without thinking twice I landed in Aruba a few days later. I didn’t have any expectations. Just wanted to catch some sun and the vitamin D. I rented a small car and decided to explore the island on my own! The island is so small that I drove around it a few times and explored different, very often less touristy places. One of them was the Arikok National Park where the dessert meets the sea. Amazing cliffs, dessert, and huge waves. Beautiful spot for a session! After the visit at the park I fell in love with the island and didn’t expect that a few months later I would book my first destination wedding in Aruba! Casandra and David wanted to get married somewhere in the Caribbean. When I met them, they didn’t have any specific country in mind. It was very shortly after my trip to Aruba so I told them a little bit about this amazing island!
Aruba has a huge plus. It is outside of the hurricane belt. It’s a very important thing if you are planning a wedding! Exactly a year and four months after my first trip to Aruba, I landed there again! This time to photograph a wedding and of course to enjoy the island! I proposed to Casandra and David that after their wedding I would be happy to do a sunset session with them at the Arikok National Park. They were all for it! We spent a few hours before the sunset in the park. We grabbed dinner and some bears and then shot this beautiful couple in front these amazing views. The park was empty, we didn’t see anyone during the session. Because of that I love random places which not everyone is eager to explore! Aruba, you are one happy and beautiful island. I will be back!
Casandra and David, thank you for exploring Aruba with me!
