Evergreen Brickworks is one of my favourite places in Toronto. When I have a free time I always try to take advantage of the outdoors and this is a place to go!
When I met Dani and Jordan and heard that they are planning to get married there I got super excited!
The combination of the old factory buildings and the greenery around it creates a great spot for a whimsical wedding!
I got to know Dani and Jordan closer during their engagement session at the Scarborough Bluffs. They are funny people and very fitting for each other. They don’t take each other too seriously which to be honest helps to take candid shots in between all of the moments!
The day started pretty relaxed with the getting ready part! I love to capture the beginning of the day! Everyone is getting ready and wants to look their best. With every minute everyone knows that the ceremony is getting closer and closer and the tension grows a little bit. Dani and Jordan decided to do a first look. They didn’t mind having family and friends around but they wanted them to watch it from the distance. I love Jordan’s reaction when he saw Dani for the first time. Yes, his face says everything. She looked simply stunning! The day was full of Jewish traditions. The ceremony location was surrounded by the brick walls which created less of a traditional vibe. At the end of the traditional Jewish ceremony the groom breaks the glass by stepping on it.
I love that Dani and Jordan decided to twist this tradition and they both broke the glass at the same time! Mazeltow! After the ceremony everything started! The hora dance which was the longest hora so far which I photographed.
More than 15 minutes of dancing, lifting people on the chairs, jumping into the crowd! It’s a photographers dream to be able to capture so many emotions in such a short period of time! I knew that the hora dance will be pure madness. I made sure to have higher view points. The crowd was dancing like crazy and my chair started to swing. Luckily one of the guests who was standing next to me noticed that and held the chair for the rest of the hora!
The rest of the night was like a huge concert for guests. The Toronto Orchestra made sure to play the amazing music which made everyone dance. By the end of the night Dani who used to dance professionally and her friends surprised Jordan by making a choreographed flashmobed dance! Everyone was so surprised! Especially Jordan! This weeding was so much fun! I’m glad that Dani and Jordan chose me to capture all the moments which they will cherish for years to come!
Dani and Jordan thank you for making me a part of your amazing wedding!
