When I hear that someone is doing a destination wedding, I’m all over it! I love to travel and discover new places. Especially in January in the middle of the Canadian winter when I feel like it is not going to end. When I met Alex and Sam for the first time, I knew that we are going to be a great fit. They are funny, happy, radiant couple who have chosen Punta Cana as the place to get married! It was my first time in Dominican Republic so I was even more ecxited!
When we arrived to Punta Cana and left the airport I couldn’t believe that it is so warm and that for a next few days I will be just wearing summer clothes! Sometimes simple things are the hardest to process or maybe its just me?
Sam and Alex’s wedding day was amazing. At first, we were a little bit afraid that it might rain during their wedding day. Sam and Alex took their chances and decided to stick to the outside ceremony and reception. It was a great decision because the entire day was beautiful with just a light shower in the evening which passed very quickly and was pretty refreshing. I need to say that I was so impressed by Sam and Alex’s families. 60 people decided to be a part of their amazing wedding day! For a destination wedding this is a big number. While I was photographing the day I knew why so many people came! The family vibe was simply amazing and everyone had a blast celebrating Sam and Alex’s love for each other which is so visible on the images!
I’m super happy that I could be a part of Sam and Alex’s wedding! It was amazing to be able to capture their love, their families and their support to each other! And of course skip just a little of the cold, snowy winter!
Sam and Alex, thank you for having me!
