Kensington Market in Toronto is a vibrant and eclectic neighbourhood with plenty of great spots for a photo session.
Colourful backgrounds, food, and people. These three words describe Kensington Market the best.
If you love the above, then Kensington Market is an excellent spot for a sunset session in the city.
Here are some fantastic places around Kensington Marker that we highly recommend:
1. Graffiti Alley – Located just south of Kensington Market, Graffiti Alley is a great spot for some colourful street images. It’s also a great spot to start the session and warm up – the more hidden alleys are less crowded.
2. Kensington Avenue – This bustling street is filled with colourful storefronts, street art, and vintage signs that make for great photo backdrops.
3. Market vendors – There is so much vibrant energy in the market itself! The vendors, food stalls, and crowds of people all make for great photo opportunities.
4. Green P Parking – is a hidden gem in the city! The Green P outdoor parking is an excellent spot for the sunset session! Cars are not allowed on the highest level, so there is a lot of open space and a fantastic view of downtown. If you are a foodie, grab some pizza or tacos and enjoy the view while having a few bites.
We always encourage our couples to think about a session as a date.
The most natural images are created when you two do things you enjoy together. If you like eclectic vibes that are full of colours and enjoy having a street kind of food, and if you are open to shooting in the heart of a busy place, the Kensington Market is a fantastic spot for fun and more unusual couple session.
Some time ago, we created a blog post where we share more tips on having a session in the city. You can check it out here:
